lego Indiana Jones – PSP – Review
I’m like a lot of people who are really in to the Lego star wars games and now they’ve put together a Lego Indiana Jones game now it’s time to get dirty with this game.
Gameplay :
The Game plays a much like it’s cousin Lego star wars you can equip items such as a whip and rifles and shoot at the islanders and the Nazis. The game play is pretty solid lots of mini puzzles meshed with some co-op puzzle solving and a little platformer mixed in their to give it a little bit more annoyingness. Such as Glitched puzzles requiring restarting to get them to operate correctly. And jumping with the whip and using a ledge and falling to your death… since you can’t tell the exact depth of the ledge you fall and fall and fall the game doesn’t do anything to correct this issue.
Graphics:
The cut scenes are pretty well done for a psp game nice frame rates. And the graphics in game are pretty well done a lot better then they looked in the Lego star wars 2 from last year. I did notice the animations on collecting the pieces was a bit off like on other consoles you seen the little pieces fly to you when you got close enough but on this game just getting close you really don’t see an animation. Characters tend to look exactly alike hard to tell some of them apart. Some levels tended to look the same like the same textures were being used.
AI:
The AI in the game is the worst part of this game. You enter a area to solve a puzzle let’s say jumping side to side and needing the other person to move key pieces to keep going around. Instead of working with you the AI follows you making it frustrating enough to pull out your hair.Some of the buggiest AI I’ve seen in a while in a game. Such as falling to their own death.
Sound:
Basic sound it’s like they took a minimalist look at the game and decided not to add much money to the sound value of this game. Basic sounds and background music but other than that its bottom of the barrel type of sound and music.
Final Thoughts:
If you’re in to the Lego star wars style games and want a Lego game my review isn’t going to stop you from buying this game. The game has it’s cute moments but then it’s got it’s very buggy moments. Puzzles are fun for a few minutes then get on your nerves badly. The game could have been a lot better if they fixed the glitch AI. I got through the first movie on the game and I wasn’t very impressed the game was a fun time killer but it’s not really worth the price tag. If you can live with a buggy game and crappy AI then this is the game for you. I had a little fun with it but personally it’s not worth the full price my verdict is to wait for it to drop in price and get it at a bargain. This game could have been a even better game if it wasn’t for the buggy puzzles and buggy AI and characters tending to look the same. a pretty meh game really
Pro – Humor with a Lego style
Con – buggy game play and AI making puzzles harder than they should be.
